Revitalise Your Bedroom - Cosy Textiles
Share:
Winter is fast approaching (in fact – whisper it – Christmas is just around the corner!), so there’s no time like the present to reinvent your bedroom for the season ahead. We’d advise plenty of blankets and throws, shaggy rugs and warmth-inducing materials like fleece, faux fur and wool, creating a cosy and welcoming environment. Here’s how to get the look.
Add some knitwear
This chunky Ella Knit Throw (1) is available in cream or heather and definitely has a Danish vibe. It’s a beautifully soft woollen throw that will look great draped over an easy chair or blanket box.
Take a seat
The Genoa Denim Low Saddle Stool (2) is a modern classic with a vintage, recycled fabric twist, made with pre-loved denim on a sturdy handmade teak base. A small but characterful stool can work wonders in your bedroom next to a dressing table, giving you a comfy place to sit whilst applying makeup or choosing your outfit for the day ahead.
Buy a timeless rug
Rugs are great for adding character to a room, but they also help to insulate it too. The Silk Impressions rug and the Bamboozled rug (5) in loom knitted silk both feature abstract patterns. They’ll really suit a Scandi-style bedroom with sanded floorboards underneath and gorgeous wooden furniture on top. Ultimately, floor rugs are real investment pieces that will still work in your bedroom in 10 years’ time.
Go cushion crazy
Complete your cosy bedroom makeover with cushions in different textures, such as faux fur, chenille and quilted fabrics. The Lola Quilted Cushion (3) in grey or teal is a fabulous addition, as is the quirky embellished Flower Cushion (4). You could even add a super-sized beanbag for extra impact.
Once your soft furnishings have stylishly accessorised your bedroom for cosy nights in, simply pop your slippers and dressing gown on, settle down with an old film and a mug of hot chocolate, and make the most of your downtime. Enjoy!
